"Very Good For Cats"
I brought 4 feeder connects for my cats along with the hub. These are great, especially if your cats that have different diets.

Setting up wasn’t straightforward. I couldn’t get the Hub to connect to my router. After several hour’s trying to get it to connect I gave in and called the helpline who solved the issue very quickly by sorting the problem out on their side. However, Setting up each feeder was easy, although getting each cat to put their head under the handle so their microchip could be read was fun! Have a lot of treats on hand! The App too was easy to set up for each feeder and cat.

Generally, my boys had no problems getting used to using the feeders. They had no issues with the noise of the lids opening and closing although I did use the training option for a week to help the boys to figure out how to use the feeders and which one was theirs. To help both the boys and myself to recognise which one belongs to who I also purchased the different colour bowls and mats which makes the feeders look individual and colourful.

The only complaint I have is how quickly the batteries seem to be draining! After two weeks of owning them, I’m already having to replace all the batteries for each feeder. This is concerning as this will be expensive as each feeder requires 4 batteries and if I’m having to do this every 2 weeks….yikes!

"Continuous responsiveness problems"
Product is fine, when it works!!!
Too often something goes wrong in the connection and the flap cannot be locked or unlocked through the app. Unfortunately I have not found a way yet to unlock it any other way, on the product itself. Great when the animals are used to going out at night but you cannot get the flap unlocked. If this were to happen once, then such things can happen, but unfortunately this is a regular experience.

"No response from customer service"
Our cat flap has stopped working after 18 months and we tried to get in touch with their customer service team but no one is answering the phone or replying to emails

"Potentially dangerous design decision ... beware"
We wanted to limit food for our cat with CKD (who can't be eating high protein), but found that she was getting food from other feeder. Website states they have a "custom setting" for this ... GREAT ... called, but was told that it's only available if I buy their Hub. I asked "why can't I set it?". Answer ... our design engineers in UK decided that they could save some battery life if they didn't enable this? So, they save a little battery life verses let me keep a CKD cat from getting high protein food? Please put the adults back in charge?

Oh, and when the adults get back in charge, ask them NOT to put message on your support site for 1.5 hours saying "all our support staff are in a meeting, call back later"

"4 cat flaps have failed over time"
Over about 10 years I’ve had four separate units of the Sure Petcare’s basic microchip cat flap. Every single one of them has failed in exactly the same way after about 2-3 years. The unit starts churning through batteries at a crazy rate, presumably because the RFID scanner is being activated 100% of the time, instead of being triggered by the IR detectors. Customer services will try to tell you that it’s because the cat flap is dirty. It isn’t. If you get lucky and it fails within the 3-year warranty they’ll usually replace it. If not, tough luck. Shame these products aren’t built to last.

"Sure Smart Catflap and Hub"
The first catflap i received developed a locking issue however sureflap sent a replacement really quickly and said i could take my time to return the faulty one, which is ideal as i couldnt get to a post office during the week. the second flap installed well and functions perfectly, connecting to the hub and logging my pets behaviour. it even tells me when my cat is just looking through the cat flap.

its not compatible with alexa or google home yet but i understand that improvement is coming. that would really make this device truly smart once its added to a smart home eco system.

"SureFlap Pet Feeder excellent service"
We use the SureFlap Pet Feeder for our two outdoor cats. It makes it easier for us to feed our cats, as we are independent of time. Both cats have accepted it well and use the feeder without any problems. The replacement of one of the automatic feeder was carried out quickly and accommodatingly by the company. We are very satisfied.

Terrible experience with our cat flap. They seem to have updated the software and now our cat flap doesn’t connect with the hub so doesn’t work. There is no one on the customer service phone line. No one replies to emails. Just dreadful. You are left with a product that doesn’t work and I have spent hours trying to reset it. AVOID.

"Worth every penny"
I am enjoying seeing my cat do there things without waiting for me to open the door to go in and out. Sure hub and the app sometimes doesn’t connect, need to refresh few times to reconnect. Other than that it’s life changing for my cats.

"Outstanding service"
I've had a Sure microchip catflap for 7 years and it has been excellent. Just recently a strange cat got in. I looked at our "petcam" video and noticed that when our own cat came through he often withdrew his tail very slowly. That meant that the door was closing very gently and could end up staying on the wrong side of the catch, effectively leaving the door open. I phoned Sure Petcare and told them what I thought had happened, they thought I was right and offered to send me a new front plate and door, with stronger closing magnets, free of charge. They also sent me an e-mail with a video describing how to fit the new cover. What an amazing company! 10 out of 10 but 5 out of 5 is all I can give so it will have to do!
